At the Guidonia Aerocooperation School (RM), the 7 course WSR (Weapon Systems Recognition) ended with 19 visitors between officers and non-commissioned officers of the Italian Air Force and the Italian Army.
The course provides the visitors with the ability to identify and memorize the characteristic elements that make it possible to identify the means used by the armed forces of the main countries of the world, by recognizing the "footprint" of land, sea and air weapons systems, analyzing images acquired from common sensors (even simple photographs) and from a "familiar" viewpoint to our natural vision. Images, therefore, not remotely sensed, or not taken from satellite or aerial platforms.
The course is intended for personnel belonging to all armed forces not yet qualified Image Analyst and constitutes one of the step profile training Employee of Operational Information (AIO) of the Air Force personnel.
