The request for air transport, which was necessary to ensure immediate specialistic medical treatment for the small patient at the "Gaslini" pediatric institute in Genoa, was sent by the health office of the Turritano hospital through the Sassari prefecture to the Command Situation Room Air Force of the Italian Air Force, which ordered the immediate take-off of the aircraft towards the military airport of Alghero.
The aircraft landed in Alghero in the early afternoon in Alghero and, after boarding the child accompanied by her mother and the medical team arrived on board a pediatric ambulance of the "Blue Cross" of Sassari, took off shortly afterwards for Genoa airport, for subsequent hospitalization at the Genoese pediatric hospital.
