Laconi remembers the crew "Lupo 92"

On 29 August 1985, during a firefighting intervention in Laconi (Or) in the heart of Sardinia, following an accident caused by a sudden turbulence, the crew of the G-222 aircraft called "Lupo 92" of which included Major Fabrizio Tarasconi, Lieutenant Paolo Capodacqua, Marshal Lido Luzzi and Marshal Rosario Ferrante.

In the 31 anniversary, as it happens every year, the communication of Laconi has been close to the relatives of the fallen, intervened for the occasion.

The commemoration ceremony took place at the locality of "Is Forros", the place where the accident occurred. After a mass in suffrage for the fallen, the staff of the 98th Group and the representatives of family members laid a wreath at the monument located in the same locality. A representation of the Air Force of the 46th air brigade, del Experimental Department and Standardization of Air Shot (RSSTA) of the Experimental and Inter-force Training Polygon of Salto di Quirra (PISQ), the civil, religious and military authorities as well as the military, civil associations and the Sardinian Forestry Agency.

The mayor of Laconi, Anna Paola Zaccheddu, during his speech, recalled the sacrifice of the aviators of the AM and of all those who lost their lives during the activities in favor of the community. He went on to thank the Armed Forces and concluded by extending a deep feeling of closeness of the community of Laconi towards the families of the victims.

The ceremony ended with a visit to the monument dedicated to the sacrifice of the aviators of the 46ª air brigade, located in the center of the town of Laconi.

The 46 ^ air brigade provides C27J and C130J aircraft with tactical and strategic air transport for missions within and outside national borders, emergency medical transport, air-based evacuation, transportation of materials, men and vehicles all over the world, 24 hours on 24, 365 days a year, thanks to the men, women and vehicles of its three Flight Groups: 2 °, 50 ° and 98 °.
