Fifteen soldiers of which the Navy Air Force and 12 of the Navy have completed, at the Guidonia Aerocooperation School, the 3 ° SOR Course (Air Department Operators), the training process foreseen for the assignment in Aeronautics of the qualification of "Operator Operating Room".
The aim of the course, developed and administered by internal teaching personnel, with the support of sector specialists from the Armed Forces, was to provide the users with the necessary knowledge for monitoring air missions at the Operations Rooms of the departments of flight, coordination of support activities and management of information flows between them and higher-level commands.
The residential activity, subjected to a constant process of evaluation and updating in order to increase the training content and the correspondence to the needs of the flight departments, has been enhanced by some cognitive and educational visits, at the Command Systems Management and Innovation Department and Control (ReGISCC) of Pratica di Mare (RM) and the AOTC (Air Operation Training Center) of the COA (Air Operations Command) of Poggio Renatico (FE), where visitors could experience the use of the ICC integrated command and control system (Integrated Command & Control) of the Armed Forces, also obtaining a certificate of Operations Room Operator on the ICC form, issued by the AOC itself.
