DEFENSE: 80 euro bonus to armed forces and police

A few days after the request for clarification made to the Government by the Cocer of the Air Force regarding the allocation of 80 euros to law enforcement personnel, a clear picture is finally beginning to take shape regarding the real resources and those entitled to it. .

The government security package deposited in the House Budget Committee on the Stability Law provides for a total of 500 million expenditure for the 2016 to be allocated to approximately 500 thousand units of personnel of the armed forces, police and fire brigade.

The contribution, explains the technical report, is non-remunerative, is not subject to social security and welfare contributions and does not contribute to forming the total income for personal income tax purposes.

From reading art. 548 septies, on the other hand, does not include the exclusion of the "bonus" from the personnel of the Port Authorities.

The staff of the Armed Forces is now waiting to know the Government's intention regarding the will of a financial adjustment of the fund (FESI) like what happened for the colleagues of the Police forces as well as an allocation of adequate resources for the contract renewal as per the ruling of the Constitutional Court and finally a rule that balances the careers of military personnel with those of police personnel who, in application of the "Madia law", are providing for a new reorganization.
