25/05/2015 - On the day of the anniversary of Italy's entry into the war, May 24, 1915, a minute of silence was celebrated in all the shrines of our country for the victims of what was the first war conflict.

In Bari in the shrine of the fallen overseas in the presence of civil authorities, military and combatants was maintained, at the 15 in point, a minute of silence at the end of which three shots were fired blanks.

A white lily made by a schoolchild in memory of the fallen deposed by a little girl, accompanied by Marshal Fabiani.

Later it was held in the liturgical hall, a concert held by "the singers of St. Pius" interspersed with reading letters from the front, soldiers and their families, which tell moments of life, fears and hopes that were lived in those moments , interpreted by very good actors and visibly moved.

Very touching was the moment when the words of Domenico Picca, Captain Molfettese, decorated with the Gold Medal for Military Valor were read, whose name was given to the barracks of the Military Command Region "Puglia" in Bari. There were descendants such as the general Giuseppe Picca, now president of the national association Nastro Azzurro, and his nephews.

The previous evening there was a concert made by the children of the schools of the first circle "N. Fornelli "in Bitonto.
