The ceremony took place in the Great Hall of the School of Transportation and Materials, in the presence of the War Flag of the Transport and Materials, the medal collection of the National Autieri Association of Italy and the flags of the ANII - Rome Section.
During the event, which began after the deposition of a laurel wreath at the monument of fallen soldiers, the commander Transportation and Materials and Dean of the Arma, Major General Francesco Capillo, and the Army Logistic Commander intervened. , general of corps Alessandro Montuori.
The anniversary is linked to a tough battle fought on the Vicenza highlands during the 1 World War, between the 19 and 22 1916 May, when the first Army departments, moving quickly a large amount of men and materials, marked a turning point for the fate of the conflict.
