27/11/2014 - Even in austere times it is possible to take important steps and equip the armed forces with instruments of excellence. This is certainly the case of the 3rd REOS (Special Operations Helicopter Regiment) which, with a reorganization of the forces, has even led to savings.

The regiment, which was formed last November 10 2014 inherited the war flag of the 3 air force regiment "Aldebaran" which operated until the 1998 from the base of Bresso (MI).

I believe that anyone who has even experienced the simple closure of the barracks in which he served can understand the pain of the dissolution of a department.

In this case it happened - once in a while - the reverse process: on Wednesday 19 November the war flag of the 3 ° aviation regiment of the army "Aldebaran" left the Vittoriano to be operational again.
