17/09/2014 - Boeing will receive $ 4.2 billion from NASA to build the next US passenger spacecraft.
Il Crew Space Transportation (CST) -100 was developed as part of the program Commercial Crew of NASA, which aims to resume US flights to the space within the 2017.
the CST-100 will carry up to seven passengers or a passenger / cargo combination to the International Space Station (ISS) and other low-earth orbit destinations.
Three CST-100 will be made at the Crew Commercial Processing Facility of Boeing at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The probe will therefore be the subject of a launch test in 2016 and an unmanned flight in early 2017.
The first crew flight to the ISS is scheduled for half of the 2017.
