30/07/2015 - From 13 to 17 July the training of the incursor students of the 17 ° Stormo di Furbara took place at the CIGA, the official cartographic body of the state, for the part under the responsibility of the Air Force, which made its personnel available cartographer and equipment for the training of 6 students and 2 incursor instructors.
The activity was organized and carried out at the request made by the 17th Wing to meet the need to acquire the knowledge and skills of cartography and PFPS / TALON VIEW software (Portable Flight Planning System / Talon View), to allow its staff to operate successfully in joint and "combined" exercises and operations.
The training included a first theoretical phase and a subsequent practical phase. Initially, notions on the use of the basic functions of the software were provided and, subsequently, during the practical phase, exercises were carried out on fictitious scenarios up to the planning and execution of a typical mission, with relative use of the GPS and the recording functions. location for use in scope debriefing post operation.
