24/07/2015 - Thursday, July 16, at the Amendola base, in the presence of the highest military, civil and religious authorities, the handover ceremony to the command of the 32nd Wing of the Air Force took place between Colonel Michele Oballa and Colonel Andrea Argieri.

The event, chaired by the commander of the Air Squad, air squad general Maurizio Lodovisi, accompanied by the commander of the Combat Forces, air division general Nicola Lanza de Cristoforis, took place in front of the War Flag of the 32nd Wing, decorated with a Medal Silver for Military Valor and the Banner of the City of Foggia, decorated with a Gold Medal for Military Valor and a Gold Medal for Civil Valor.

Colonel Oballa greeted the men and women of the Wing who had the privilege of commanding for two years, thanking them for their work and for effectively contributing to the achievement of important goals, underlining that "the 32 ° Stormo is an expression of the credible and relevant Air Power, in form and substance, faithful to traditions and projected towards the future".

Colonel Oballa will be assigned to the Command of the Schools of the Air Force with headquarters in Bari.

In his inaugural address, Colonel Argieri, after thanking Colonel Oballa for his work, expressed his immense pride in taking command of one of the most prestigious Departments of the Italian Air Force, stating that "The amplitude and importance of the challenges awaiting the men and women of the 32 ° Stormo are clear: you will know how to continue the important work of adapting the Wing to the new aircraft, because it is only thanks to your value, your passion , to your spirit of sacrifice and to the demonstrated competence that we can together achieve the assigned goalsi ".

Finally, the commander of the Air Squad, General Lodovisi, after greeting the intervening authorities, expressed sincere appreciation for the work carried out by the staff of the Stormo during the last two years under the guidance of Colonel Oballa, addressing Colonel Argieri best wishes for a good job.
