13/07/2015 - Last Wednesday, at the Cameri Military Airport, the visit of the commander of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Italy (NRDC-ITA) of Solbiate Olona (VA), general of the army corps Riccardo Marchiò, took place.
Upon his arrival, General Marchiò was received by the head of the Multifunctional Aerotactic Aircraft Center of Cameri (Ce.Po.VA), general inspector Lucio Bianchi, who presented him with a briefing regarding the Ce.Po.VA reality.
The director of the 1st RMV, Colonel Flavio Guercio, then illustrated the activities of the Department, a technical-engineering and logistic center for third-level technical activities on Tornado and Eurofighter aircraft.
Finally, General Bianchi introduced the reality of the "Final Assembly and Check Out" (FACO) for the assembly of the F35 / Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft.
Subsequently, the general Marchiò was accompanied at the 1 ° Aircraft Maintenance Department where he was able to visit some areas of interest including the main maintenance hangar and the automated warehouse.
The visit continued inside the FACO installation, where the guest was able to check the activities in progress and ascertained the progress of the work.
Finally, the same general visited the exhibition area of the Base, of which he was able to appreciate the numerous historical relics present.
At the end of the visit the general Marchiò, in signing the roll of honor, wanted to congratulate the general Bianchi for the expertise highlighted by the staff of Cameri and wanted to thank him for having had the opportunity to know "a reality of exceptional value national".
The Multipurpose Aircraft Aerospace Center (Ce.Po.VA) was set up on the airport grounds of Cameri on 23 July 2012 date and placed under the 2 ^ Division of the AM Logistic Command
From Ce.Po.VA depend the 1 ° Aircraft Maintenance Department, the Cameri Airport Command and the Initial Training Group (NIF) for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 program.
Ce.Po.VA, with its employees, is the main engineering, maintenance and logistics center of the Italian Air Force for high performance "fast jet" aircraft.
