A few days ago, the night flight of the VFP1s recently assigned to the 187th parachute regiment took place thunderbolt.
The activity, which aimed to increase the newly assigned aviation skills, took place in the "Nella" launch area of Altopascio and involved around 30 VFP1.
Characterized by the total absence of moonlight, the activity allowed the young paratroopers to better understand the intrinsic difficulties of an airborne operation conducted in a night environment.
The aviation launch represented only one stage of the complex and demanding training that VFP1 are carrying out at the 187th parachute regiment thunderbolt. Other practical activities are the Military Combat Method, First Aid techniques, firing and handling weapons, the conduct of urban operations and topography.
The continuous professional growth of the paratroopers makes it possible to have personnel ready to be employed in the many activities that see the air troops competing both in the field of security operations on the national territory and in the various Operation Theaters.
