In recent days, "Vipera 22" was held, a training activity conducted by the Northern Operational Forces Command, at the "Marini" barracks in Pistoia, aimed at verifying the level of efficiency reached by the 183 ° "Nembo" parachute regiment of the " Folgore ”, inserted in the high readiness force pool of the JRRF (Joint Rapid Response Forces).

Specifically, the activation of the unit was simulated to carry out an evacuation of civilian personnel from a country affected by a situation of instability and social violence, such as to threaten the safety and safety of fellow countrymen present.

The command North Operating Forces, responsible for preparing the structures identified for the need, in order to ascertain the achievement of the required objectives in terms of operational readiness, adaptability and effectiveness of use, wanted to verify the unit through an exercise activity characterized by a high level of of adherence to reality and a growing degree of complexity.

The paratroopers of the 183rd regiment, to achieve and maintain the high level of operational readiness, conducted an intense cycle of preparation, based on the performance, among other things, of tactical activities (offensive, defensive, stabilization and enabling), NEO (Non-combatant Evacuation Operation) and thus acquiring the capabilities for possible operational use full spectrum.

In particular, with training activities such as the "Steel Forge", conducted within the Carpegna polygon, the Nembo staff was able to increase individual and team skills, through a challenging training characterized by dynamism, with white and fire activities. , conducted in day and night, and using highly performing modular training platforms such as the Pro-Target Range.

The JRRF units constitute a complex of forces, identified, well trained, interoperable and placed at a high level of readiness to be projected quickly and wherever it is necessary, in order to guarantee an effective and efficient response capacity, limited in time.
