Army Corps General Salvatore Camporeale, commander of the Training, Specialization and Doctrine of the Army, together with all the commanders of the Schools and Institutes, met yesterday in Cesano and Monteromano, the staff engaged in the training activities of the exercise "UNA ACIES 2020".

The high officer, at the Infantry School of Cesano, had the opportunity to attend some phases of the main training activities: combat in the inhabited centers, chosen patrol course and mortar platoon, carried out respectively by the 198th Infantry Officers course, by the official students of the 200th and by the marshals of the XNUMXth.

Subsequently, the gen. Camporeale went to the Monteromano shooting range where, after a brief briefing in which the features of the day-time exercise with the FH-70 howitzer were illustrated, he witnessed the acquisition of the target on the ground by of the observers team, to the request for intervention forwarded to the command post of the unit, to the determination of the shooting data and to the subsequent fire action, activities conducted respectively by the artillery officers of the 198th and 199th courses.

The visit continued with the training of a light infantry platoon in fire attack carried out by the infantry officers of the 199th course and by the marshal students of the XXI. Intense the effort of the armies during the various phases: deployment on the starting line, approach to the goal, attack, raking and consolidation.

Finally, General Camporeale witnessed the shooting with portable weapons (ARX 160 assault rifle and MINIMI light machine gun) carried out by the official students of the 201st course of the Military Academy.

The senior officer reminded the exercised personnel how important it is to refer to the indissoluble combination of technical and professional preparation and respect for ethical and moral values, as the cornerstone of military life.

The multiplicity of the training activities of "UNA ACIES 2020", carried out by men and women from the area of Training, Specialization and Doctrine of the Italian Army, constitutes a significant opportunity for growth for the future leading cadres of the Army, gathered "in a single group".

All logistical and training activities were carried out in full compliance with the provisions in force regarding the containment of the COVID-19 pandemic.
