As part of the "Terra dei Fuochi" operation, coordinated by the Army, extraordinary checks were carried out on the territory yesterday, arranged by the Commissioner to combat environmental crimes in the Campania region.
The activities were carried out in the municipality of Casalnuovo for the province of Naples and in the municipality of Maddaloni for the province of Caserta.
On the field 26 crews for a total of 49 units belonging to the "Campania" group of the Army, commanded by Colonel Claudio Bencivenga of the 9th infantry regiment "Bari of the" Pinerolo "brigade, to the carabinieri of Maddaloni Station, to the forest carabinieri of Marigliano and Letino, to the metropolitan police of Nola and Caserta, to the municipal police of Maddaloni, to the PS commissariats of Maddaloni, to the company of the finance guard of Casalnuovo and Marcianise, to the unit of the air and naval operational department of the finance guard of Naples .
Control 8 business and commercial activities, of which 6 are sanctioned; 28 identified people, including 7 reported among irregular workers and guilty of environmental offenses; more than 42 thousand euros of sanctions imposed.
Furthermore, crimes for the illegal management and disposal of waste and processing waste have been contested.
