The SETHLANS 2019 exercise conducted by the training regiment of the Artillery Command and who saw the students of the 19 ° course as protagonists. The activity had the purpose of putting into practice the theoretical notions acquired by the non-commissioned officers during the period of studies carried out in Bracciano since January 2019.
The students, assisted by the instructors of the training regiment were able to operate, in day and night environments, on Pzh2000 self-propelled howitzer, FH70 mechanical towing howitzer and mortar Thomson from 120 mm, weapon systems supplied to national artillery regiments.
The exercise was also an opportunity to consolidate the knowledge acquired by the officers coming from the Army artillery units and those attending the "Head of the Operations Center" and "Head of Technical Support Center" as well as perfecting the training of the Joint Fires Support Element of the 185th “Folgore” target acquisition regiment and of the 21st “Trieste” artillery regiment in the observation of artillery fire.
