Along with the number of women who choose to wear uniforms, young people's interest in the world of armed forces is growing.

This is demonstrated by the success of the Defense booths in training and professional orientation fairs, which allow young people to have direct contact with the military and learn about the career and training opportunities offered by the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the 'Arma dei Carabinieri.

To confirm the interest and curiosity towards the armed forces, there are also numerous requests from primary schools, secondary schools, the Ana (National Alpine Association) and citizenship groups.

In recent months the 7 ° Alpine Regiment of Belluno has hosted several students, from Belluno and beyond, who visited the Salsa-D'Angelo Barracks to learn more about the Army and, in particular, the activity of the Alpine troops.

There are about a hundred pupils and teachers of secondary schools in Colle Umberto and Cappella Maggiore, in the province of Treviso, who at the end of March were hosted by the regiment, thanks to the initiative promoted by the Ana group of Colle Umberto.

After the welcome of Colonel Stefano Mega, commander of the Seventh, the boys found themselves completely immersed in the world of the armed forces.

Accompanied by the Alps, the year had the opportunity to deepen the reality of the regiment, retracing its history, traditions and experiences in Italy and abroad. They also got to know the vehicles, weapons and tools supplied to the Alpine troops: the "LINCE" vehicle, the armored 6X6 "PUMA", the snow-covered track vehicle "BV-206", the vehicle turned "VM 90", modern weapon systems such as the "SPIKE" counter-truck, the 120 mm mortar "Thomson-Brandt".

During the visit, which ended with a guided tour of the Historical Museum of the 7 ° Alpini Regiment, the children had the opportunity to experience the individual equipment first hand and see a modern field kitchen in operation, through the reconstruction of a small camp in an operational situation .

Followed by rock instructors and mountain guides, they could try out mountaineering equipment and experience the thrill of climbing at the artificial wall in the barracks and used by the military for training.
