"Safe Roads": Military foil suicide attempt

Yesterday evening, an army military patrol, active in the brigade command department of the Grenadiers of Sardinia employed in the "Safe Roads" operation - "Rome" group led by the same brigade, while on duty in Rome at the Anagnina exchange node, foiled a suicide attempt.

The soldiers, during the patrol service, noticed a woman of Italian nationality who accused an illness in the subway area.

With the joint action of the police patrol of the carabinieri, the 118 rescue was contacted immediately and, upon arriving there, it was providing first aid.

The woman then tried to escape from the assistance of medical personnel and tried to climb over a railing, with the intention of throwing herself from a height of about 5 meters.

Promptly and without hesitation, the army patrol thus prevented the suicide attempt, blocking the young woman.

In just over a month, last night's, is the fourth episode that occurs at the exchange node Anagnina, which involves an army patrol operating in the context of the aforementioned operation together with the police.

In the month of July, during a control activity, packages containing drugs were found, while in the current month, an attempted rape has already been foiled and fake documents were found, again following checks.
