On Friday 19 June 2020, at the Vannucci barracks in Livorno, in compliance with the prevention measures for the current emergency situation, the ceremony to replace the drape of the War Flag of the 9th paratrooper assault regiment "Col Moschin" was held. .
A few days after the 1918 arms ceremony commemorating Col Moschin, the regiment met to honor the War Flag. The short but symbolic ceremony took place in the square of the Vannucci barracks in the presence of Brigadier General Ivan Caruso, commander of the Army Special Forces command, of the former commanders and a representation of the National Army Raiders Association (ANIE).
After the brief allocation of the regimental commander, Colonel Grossi, the renewal of the cloth and the blessing by the military priest took place. Following the president of ANIE he recalled the ceremony of delivery of the flag to the Incursori battalion in 1976 in Florence. General Caruso finally stressed the importance of the values that the War Flag contains and in particular that of Col Moschin inviting the raiders to renew the already strong oath to the Fatherland.
The War Flag of the 9th "Col Moschin" paratrooper assault regiment is decorated with a Knight's Cross of the Military Order of Savoy, two Knight's Crosses of the Military Order of Italy, three Silver medals for Military Value , a Gold Medal for the Valor of the Army, a Silver medal for the Valor of the Army.
