The activity took place in the Forward Operating Base (FOB) “Caccia Dominioni”, a training area created, in accordance with current doctrinal references, in the “S.Ten. MOVM Gigli ”, located in the Cecchignola area of Rome.
The exercise has been based on techniques, use procedures and available technologies for the protection of forces in operational theater (Force Protection), for the remediation of routes (Route Clearance) and for the reclamation of nuclear-loading explosive devices, chemical and bacteriological (CBRN EOD).
General Bernardini, in his speech of greeting, congratulated him for the dedication and professionalism of the engineers, underlined the fundamental role of the weapon of genius, a fundamental and versatile pawn of the Italian army and highlighted how it represents a of the most effective expressions of modernity, capacity for transformation and propensity for innovation.
