The pupil marshals of the XXIV course "Fidelity" concluded an intense cycle of practical activities, day and night, carried out between Lazio and Abruzzo. After the first session of university exams, the attendees left the walls of the "Soccorso Saloni" barracks to measure themselves in a series of training activities aimed at consolidating and deepening the concepts addressed during the lectures on technical-professional subjects, in order to achieve the training objective of the first year of the course: to be able to operate as team-level commanders.

The activities were carried out by carrying out a rotation between the student marshal companies on the various training islands, which allowed to carry out simultaneously lessons in radio procedures, shooting with individual and departmental weapons as well as topographic and orienteering. In addition, during the week spent in Monte Romano, first-year visitors conducted offensive tactics at team level in white, on the premise of the fire assault they will face during the “UNA ACIES 2022” summer tactical campaign.

For the first time, training was conducted in a mountain environment, an important new element in the training course of the marshal students, aimed at acquiring the basic notions to be able to operate in a context with which they had never been confronted.

Thanks to the logistical support and qualified instructor staff guaranteed by the 9th alpine regiment of the "Taurinense" alpine brigade, the future platoon commanders carried out specific training at altitude, focused on a march in a mountain environment with the preparation and management of a tent, as well as overnight stay in the Campo Felice area. At the “Pasquali” barracks, on the other hand, the visitors learned how to overcome vertical obstacles and abseiling techniques.
