Marshal school Viterbo, the 20th Altair II course graduates

The official graduation ceremony for 16 2020rd class marshals of the Air Force of the 123th Course was held on Thursday 3 July 20 Altair II. The magnificent rector of the University of Tuscia proclaimed them doctors in Political Sciences and International Relations.

The ceremony, presided over by the commander of the marshal school of the Air Force and Tommaso Fabbri Airport of Viterbo, col. Leonardo Moroni, also representing the commander of the Schools / 3rd Air Region of Bari, air squad general Aurelio Colagrande, took place via videoconference in compliance with the Covid-19 containment measures. Connected, among others, the magnificent rector of the University of Tuscia, prof. Stefano Ubertini, the members of the Degree Council, Colonel Andrè Luiz Alves Ferreira, defense and aeronautical officer of Brazil for Italy and Slovenia, Colonel Jorge Cesar Zapata Tipian, aeronautical attaché and assistant at the Embassy of Peru in Italy, Dr. Marco Lazzari, president of the CARIVIT Foundation (Cassa di Risparmio di Viterbo), Colonel Davide Rosellini, current commander of the Giulio Dohuet Military School and former commander of the Courses, the godfather of Corso m.llo Giorgio Cosimo Patera and, of course, all undergraduates .

In his greeting address Colonel Moroni, in thanking the kind guests and all those who worked to allow this moment, underlined how "Today's ceremony is particularly significant given the inauspicious period we are experiencing; significant and encouraging because this event is the demonstration that determination, stubbornness and teamwork represent winning qualities and behaviors against all adversities."

The col. Moroni then complimented the new doctors "for the prestigious double goal achieved, graduation and conclusion of the three-year process, goals achieved in the midst of so many difficulties and adversities, so much uncertainty for the future, so many limitations, restrictions and news that have generated in all of us anxieties and fears for the health of our fellow citizens and our loved ones. If you have achieved relevant objectives in a complicated and painful moment like this, it is above all thanks to your will, your proactivity and the sense of duty that have characterized the behavior of all the actors involved, from the staff of the University , to that of the School, from you frequenters to the remaining staff of the Armed Force who supported and encouraged us ".

In his speech, the magnificent rector of the University of Tuscia addressed new graduates, highlighting how "the memory of this moment will remain indelibly imprinted, today more than ever because of the exceptional nature of this moment. Today you reach an important milestone with the graduation. It is only part of the demanding path you are following in school but it is an exceptional result for you and your families, the crowning of so much sweat and so much effort. Remember that today is not only the day you graduate but also the day your skills are certified; you must be proud of it because these are the skills that you will carry with you throughout your life, sprouts that will blossom with experience and mature over time ". In conclusion, he reciprocated the thanks to the Marshals of the Air Force and to the Armed Force.

At the end of the speech, the rector formally proclaimed the marshals of the Altair II Course as doctors in Political Sciences and International Relations: out of 123 recent graduates, 35 obtained a grade of 110 with honors, testifying to the effectiveness and quality of the training given at the 'Viterbese Institute and the commitment of the visitors

During the ceremony, as usual, the assignment of some important awards to the most deserving visitors was also formally communicated; in particular, the prizes in a regime of reciprocity between nations (Argentina, Brazil and Peru), the scholarship offered by the CARIVIT Foundation, always present and attentive to the needs of the territory and its socio-economic reality, and the traditional "Plaque of merit "symbolically assigned by the Department to the first classified in the" Final ranking list ".

For the marshals of the Air Force of the 20th Corso Altair II this is the last important training goal, brilliantly achieved despite the inconveniences deriving from the Covid-19 emergency. They are now expected to be transferred to the deployment departments of the Armed Force for the start of their operational career.
