On 12 morning, the handover will take place under the command of the "Emilia Romagna" group as part of the "Safe Roads" operation between Colonel Vincenzo Tucci of the 6th general support logistic regiment of Budrio (BO) and Colonel Roberto Gabrielli of the 121st anti-aircraft artillery regiment "Ravenna" of Bologna.

The “Emilia Romagna” grouping, with its nearly two hundred military personnel, guarantees, on the order of the prefectural authority, the supervision of sensitive objectives and patrolling activities, in competition and jointly with the Police Forces.

The military operated throughout the region, one of the most affected at national level by the epidemiological crisis caused by COVID-19, guaranteeing a fundamental contribution in the controls for compliance with the measures to contain the pandemic. The preparation and professionalism of the staff made it possible to operate in total safety and efficiency, in all the provincial capitals and in the "red zone" of the municipality of Medicina.

In this semester, the men and women of the Army, in the cities of Bologna, Modena, Ferrara, Parma and Rimini, achieved extremely important results, among which the following emerged: 400 interventions, 4 arrests, 30 complaints, 14.800 checks and huge seizures of narcotic substances.

Uninterruptedly since August 4, 2008, the Italian Army has conducted the "Safe Roads" operation, on the national territory, for specific and exceptional crime prevention needs. To date, there are about 7.000 women and men employed who guarantee a widespread presence on the national territory, actively contributing to the creation of a safer environment.
