Qualify new CIMIC tactical operators

In recent days, the 6th was completed in Motta di Livenza CIMIC Tactical Operator Course (CTOC), the course dedicated to civil-military cooperation operators intended to interact at a tactical level.

The training activity, of great importance in the panorama of the NATO training offer, carried out entirely in English and face-to-face, was organized over two weeks with the aim of providing attendees with the knowledge and skills to interface with the numerous actors , military and civilians, present in the area of ​​operation.

The 36 students, coming from the civilian world and from all the Armed Forces, attended lectures of various doctrinal types, from the management of the interpreter to assertive communication, from gender mainstreaming to cultural awareness, being able to test the technical-tactical procedures for create a fruitful civil-military collaboration relationship. The students, in fact, interacted with actors (role players) to implement negotiation practices in situations of psycho-physical stress created ad hoc by the instructors body of the Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG), thanks to activations, physical activities and an intense battle rhythm. The educational program was also able to count on the collaboration of 3 instructors from the US Army of Civil Affairs and a Canadian instructor from CIMIC Detachment, part of theenhanced Forward Presence (eFP) in Latvia.

CIMIC operators are still employed in crisis areas where the Armed Forces are called upon to operate, and this allows to obtain a virtuous cycle of teaching: realizing in operation what has been studied in the classroom and teaching in the classroom what is learned in operation, to offer training that is perfectly adherent to current, changing and complex operational scenarios.

The Multinational CIMIC Group, which counts among the contributing nations, in addition to Italy, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Hungary, constitutes the center of excellence for the training of operators working in the delicate sector of cooperation civilian-military.
