Memorandum of understanding between the Folgore brigade and the Italian Red Cross

02/04/14

A memorandum of understanding and collaboration was signed yesterday between the Folgore brigade and the Italian Red Cross Military Corps.

The agreement provides for an exchange of services between the two institutions, such as, for example, training in exchange for health care during daily flying activities of the Folgore or BLS (Basic Life Support) courses.

This type of synergy represents a concrete way to share and achieve the objectives, allowing, however, a considerable saving of money, suffice it to say that the amount saved for the sole assistance activity for the last year amounted to several thousand euros.

The commander of the paratroop brigade, Brigadier General Lorenzo D'Addario, recalled how the motto of the Italian Army "Salus Rei Publicae Suprema Lex Esto" (the security of the Republic is supreme law) reminds us that all the activities we put into being must benefit the country, and has therefore expressed its gratitude for this further step which allows it to be able to maintain a high level of training despite the reductions in the defense budget.
