Parà and Alpini in joint training

In recent days, the platoon explorers paratroopers of the 187th "Folgore" regiment and an infantry platoon of the 9th "L'Aquila" alpine regiment have conducted a series of joint training activities on the plateaus and slopes of the Apennine region, as part of the "Safe Jump - L'Aquila19" exercise.

During the exercise, the level of training in the snowy mountain environment, the capacity of land navigation, the reporting of information, the observation of the terrain, the ability to camouflage and concealment and the support of fire in favor of other units.

The paratroopers of the 2nd Tarquinia battalion, embarked at Pisa airport on a C27J aircraft of the Italian Air Force, carried out an air-drop on the Cinquemiglia Plateau near Rivisondoli (AQ), rejoining the ground with the Alpine platoon of the 9th regiment .

During the various phases of the exercise the paratroopers guaranteed to the riflemen of the 9 ° Alpine Regiment the information and fire support necessary for the suppression of a hypothetical adversary.

The implementation of a combined maneuver between the two specialties of the Infantry has made it possible to refine the integration of leadership, information sharing and all other operational functions, both during the planning process and during the conduct.
