The “RUDIS 2020” exercise, which saw the operators of the 13th HUMINT regiment of Anzio as protagonists, ended in recent days.
The training activity, which lasted five weeks, conducted in full compliance with the measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, aimed at achieving the standards of ability expressed in the context of Terrestrial Information Support Operational Function for the use of assets Field Humint Team, Military Intelligence Reconnaissance e Defensive Information Activities under the regiment.
The activity was aimed at preparing the specialized structures of the Regiment in the planning and conduct phase of activities aimed at the exploitation of intelligence from human sources, military intelligence reconnaissance aimed at supporting specialized "Humint" operations and prevention and reporting of possible asymmetric threats, in support of the Force Protection of the contingents deployed in the main Operational Theaters and Crisis Areas where the Italian Army is employed.
The only one of its kind, the exercise was conducted in the whole area of Anzio, as well as in the training areas of the Neptune polygon and inside the "Santa Barbara" barracks. The introduction of the simulation system was particularly profitable Virtual Battle Space 3 as support for the planning and conduct of the activities of Military Intelligence Reconnaissance.
