In recent days, two army military patrols, used in the "Safe Roads" operation - the "Rome" brigade-led "Granatieri di Sardegna" group, have contributed to guaranteeing the order and security in the capital.

In the first intervention, carried out at the Anagnina exchange node, an effective patrol in the command department of the "Granatieri di Sardegna" assisted, near the underground stop, an Italian national who was in a confused state.

The latter, who showed a syringe tucked into his arm, was rescued by the military, transported out of the entrance to the stop and subsequently rescued by an ambulance, always alerted by army personnel, who accompanied him to the nearest hospital.

In the second intervention, instead, carried out at the interchange node of Trastevere, an effective patrol at the 7 ° bersaglieri regiment of Altamura (BA), during the joint service with the carabinieri weapon, controlled and identified two people of Tunisian nationality who, at the request of the carabiniere to favor the documents and to check the bag they were carrying, tried to escape.

While one of them managed to escape, the other was blocked and, following further checks, he was in possession of fifty-one grams of marijuana.

The "Granatieri di Sardegna" brigade, in addition to being used in training and operational activities at national and international level, since August of 2008, reinforced by the structures of other units, participates in the 4000 army men at the "Safe Roads" operation.
