Soldiers from "Safe Roads" carry out drug seizures

In recent days, the men and women of the army employed in the "Safe Roads" operation of the "Rome" group, in collaboration with the police, carried out a drug seizure at the "Anagnina" metropolitan interchange node of the capital.

The soldiers, effective at the command department "Grenadiers of Sardinia", after having noticed two people in a suspicious attitude and who tried to leave in order to escape a possible control, promptly intervened to stop them, starting, with the carabinieri, the identification procedures and control.

Following the search, numerous packages containing drugs were found.

From August 2008 the Granatieri brigade, reinforced by other units, participates in the 4000 army men at the "Safe Roads" operation on the territoriality of the city of Rome, coordinated by the 2 ° command of the defense forces (2 ° fod) of San Giorgio a Cremano, in competition and jointly with the police to guarantee the safety and prevention of petty crime in the capital.
