The Army remembers the Fallen

This morning, on the traditional anniversary in which the Italians remember their deceased, the Chief of Staff of the Army, Corps General Pietro Serino, commemorated the fallen of every era and war, placing a laurel wreath at the Memorial of the Fallen of the Army Palace, to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives in the fulfillment of their duty.

The ceremony was attended, in addition to the commander of the COMFOTER COE, general of the army corps Giovanni Fungo and the deputy chief of staff of the Army, general of the army corps Gaetano Zauner, the department heads and the key figures of the general staff of the Army, to underline the solemnity of this anniversary, celebrated with sobriety but particularly felt by the men and women of the Army.

The commemorations continued at the Verano Monumental Cemetery with the homage to the tomb of General Enrico Cosenz, first Army Chief of Staff, by the Army Deputy Chief of Staff, Corps General Gaetano Zauner.

Moments, such as that of commemoration of the fallen soldiers, represent an ever-present guide in the new generations of soldiers, who have the responsibility to preserve the inherited values ​​and keep alive the teachings of those who preceded them.
