The Italian Army's contribution to the COVID 19 emergency continues unabated in Emilia Romagna where, in recent days, in addition to the military personnel employed at the Unified Conference Room of Bologna, temporarily transferred to the Local Health Authority to house the patients in quarantine, the Director of the Health Service (DSS) of the Army Military Command had the task of coordinating the activities that the medical and paramedical staff of the Armed Force is ensuring, in competition, in some Healthcare Residences (RSA) of the province of Piacenza.

The Army promptly responded to the request by sending some "white coats" in support of civilian colleagues, according to an initial plan of medical health interventions, 6 days a week, in the structures of Castel San Giovanni, Fiorenzuola d'Arda, Borgonuovo and Castelvetro Piacentino.

The important contribution that the "Emilia Romagna" Army Military Command is providing to the community is coordinated by the North Operative Forces Command of Padua, which manages the Army's operational competitions in the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany , Umbria and Marche.

The activity in the Piacenza RSA is part of the broader framework of health support that the Armed Force, since the beginning of the emergency, has made available to the national community, which today sees the use of 261 among doctors, nurses and soldiers; the assembly of two field hospitals in Piacenza and Crema (a third in stand by); the provision of 3500 beds on the national territory for needs connected with quarantine; 2 structures of excellence (Policlinico Militare del Celio in Rome and Military Hospital Center in Milan) and 1 Force CBRN task for the sanitization of the environments.
