The civil and military institutions and the representatives of the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Carabinieri and all the Armed Corps of the state of the city, as well as the Combatant and Weapon Associations met on the occasion of the Eucharistic celebration of the Christmas Precept.
In Bolzano the sacred function was officiated at the Unified Circle garrison, by the military chaplain, don Luigi Sarnataro, in the presence of the commander of the Alpine Troops, army corps general Ignazio Gamba, the mayor, Renzo Caramaschi, the government commissioner, dr. Vito Cusumano and the president of the Alpine Rescue of South Tyrol, Giorgio Gajer.
In Verona, the commander of the Land Support Operational Forces, army corps general Massimo Scala, took part in the Eucharistic celebration officiated by Ser Monsignor Domenico Pompili, bishop of the city, in the Basilica of San Bernardino.
At the Military Cathedral of San Prosdocimo in Padua, in the presence of the commander of the Northern Operational Forces, general of the army corps Salvatore Camporeale, the celebration of the holy mass was held, officiated by the bishop of Padua, Monsignor Claudio Cipolla, flanked for the occasion by some chaplains in service in the Veneto Region.
In the capital, at the parish church of San Roberto Bellarmino, in Piazza Ungheria, the Holy Mass was officiated by the military ordinary for Italy, Msgr. Santo Marcianò and saw the participation of the military commander of the capital, general of the army corps Rosario Castellano and a representation of civilian and military personnel of "Palazzo Slataper" and dependent bodies. The function was accompanied by the music of the Italian Army Band and the singing of the soprano of the Rome Opera House, Angela Nicoli.
At the Pontifical Shrine of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary of Pompeii, the archbishop prelate of Pompeii, if Msgr. Tommaso Caputo, concelebrated the Holy Mass with the military chaplains of the XII Pastoral Area "Campania-Basilicata". The function was attended by the mayor of Pompeii, Carmine Lo Sapio, the commander of the southern operational forces, general of the army corps Giuseppenicola Tota and a delegation from PASFA (Association for Spiritual Assistance to the Armed Forces). The Mass was animated by the Fanfare and the Carabinieri Choir with the liturgical service of the Nunziatella Military School.
In Palermo, at the Church of San Francesco di Paola, Monsignor Santo Marcianò, ordinary military archbishop for Italy, officiated the Interforce Christmas Precept for the city and the Region of Sicily in the presence of the commander of the Army military command "Sicily", division general Maurizio Angelo Scardino, the mayor of Palermo, Roberto Lagalla and the prefect of Palermo, Maria Teresa Cucinotta, while in Sardinia, the commander of the Army military command "Sardegna", Brigadier General Stefano Scanu, celebrated the Christmas precept at the Church of Santa Rosalia in Cagliari.
