Military Schools conclude "UNA ACIES"

(To Army Majority State)
12/07/22

The summer training phase of the students of the “Nunziatella” Military Schools in Naples and “Teulié” in Milan has ended. The exercise, framed in the broader training activity called “UNA ACIES”, involved all the Training Bodies of the Italian Army.

As has been consolidated for some time, also for this edition, the exercises were conducted by "twinning" the students of the two Military Schools and allocating the two respective school commands to the planning and conduct of training activities. The "Nunziatella" Military School, in particular, managed the activities of the student companies at the Cesano Infantry School area, while the "Teulié" Military School directed the activities at the training areas of the Aosta Valley, as guests of the Alpine training center.

During the last month, the students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves and carry out purely military activities with the use of materials, weapons, equipment and combat vehicles of the Armed Force. The students of the two Military Schools also faced fast marches to reach the Deffeyes refuge, and competed in day and night patrols, helicopter landing aboard combat helicopters and topography competitions.

There was no lack of cultural and educational moments that saw the students visit the Quirinale as well as the most important museums and the capital. In addition, guided visits were conducted to training and operational bodies of the Armed Forces: the NBC Defense Joint School of Rieti, the artillery command of Bracciano, the AVES command of Viterbo, the "Savoia Cavalleria" regiment (3rd), the 9th Alpini regiment, the “Lancers of Montebello” regiment (8th), the Corazzieri regiment and the 4th wing of the Air Force, and visits to the rooms of the Historical Museum of Infantry and Grenadiers.

The young students who have arrived in the middle of the process of ethical-moral, cultural and physical formation and growth, have thus enriched their experiential baggage, through the knowledge of their limits and their abilities, a unique experience that will help them to face with greater awareness of their means the next challenges of life.

During the activity, a meeting was held with Major General Mauro D'Ubaldi, commander of the Training and Application School of the Army, on Punta Helbroner at an altitude of 3466 meters, who wanted to greet the training department and congratulate for the results obtained during the tactical campaign.

The joint carrying out of training activities between the schools constitutes an opportunity to increase the spirit of body and the sense of belonging of the students. The training period spent next to each other allowed them to develop adaptability and flexibility skills as well as increase a sense of responsibility, respect for discipline and a more mature awareness oriented towards the achievement of a goal.
