In recent days, an important training session for the “Nunziatella” and “Teuliè” military schools ended: the winter camp. A week spent in the snow and low temperatures in the town of La Thuile (AO).

The young students faced for the first time the difficulties of the compartmentalized environments of the mountain, challenging the arcticity of low temperatures and the verticality of the Valdostane mountains.

Followed by the instructors of the Alpine Training Center of Aosta, have tried their hand at rudiments of Mountain Warfare; ski descent technique; movement technique in a snowy environment with snowshoes; use of ski materials; basic notions on carrying out snow shelters; self-rescue techniques in avalanches and survival in the snowy mountains; knowledge and use of rescue devices for people hit by avalanches.

Both military schools boast centuries of seniority, with a teaching staff, past and present, of internationally recognized cultural depth and a palmares of alumni in the ranks of Defense and leading figures of the entire country.

La Nunziatella , Teuliè guarantee a vast and profound preparation, particularly attentive to the completion of all the educational programs provided by MIUR, including in the training course disciplines that favor the ethical - moral, cultural and physical training process of the students, to successfully face the Military Academies and Civil Universities.

The mountain, with its difficulties and roughness, fully represents a valid "teacher" in the training path of young students: it teaches how physical and mental preparation is the basis of every challenge, develops the ability to adapt, strengthens the sense of responsibility, increases self-efficacy and commitment to achieving a goal.
