In the midst of the emergency COVID-19, yesterday, at the military airport "Fausto Pesci", headquarters of the 2nd AVES Support Regiment “Orione”, landed a Dornier 228, an aircraft belonging to the Army Aviation fleet, coming from Fiumicino which transported 104 packages of sanitary material, equal to a volume of about 7 cubic meters, ready for distribution.
The military airport grounds of the 2nd Orione, due to its geographical position, it constitutes a strategic center for rescue operations throughout Central - Northern Italy.
Arrived on site, the staff of the 2nd Orione promptly proceeded to load it on its own vehicle and did its utmost to deliver the precious cargo to the headquarters of the Emilia Romagna Civil Protection Department.
The timeliness and professionalism of the intervention confirm the great and daily commitment in favor of the civilian population affected by the emergency of Covid-19.
