The 8 ° racing racing regatta at the Reggia of Caserta

18/02/14

The traditional Regimental race took place last Friday between the streets of the historic center and the suggestive setting of the Royal Palace of Caserta, which saw 200 bersaglieri as protagonists of the 8 ° Bersaglieri, in the historic center of the city and subsequently announced by the fanfare of the fanfare at the avenues of the gardens of the palace.

The bersaglieri were greeted with enthusiasm by the inhabitants of Caserta and tourists visiting the royal palace, confirming the sentiments of esteem that bind the regiment to citizenship. The gymnastic activity, conducted directly by the commander of the regiment, Colonel Domenico Ciotti, typical of the members of the Bersaglieri corps, is part of an intense training program, aimed at maintaining and improving the physical standards envisaged by the Armed Forces.

The tradition of the bersaglieri, dating back to the 1836, sees in the decalogue of the founder of the body, Alessandro La Marmora, the proposition "gymnastics of all kinds up to the frenzy". Based on this principle, the bersaglieri of yesterday and today pursue a continuous search of the physical form, today more than ever necessary to face the commitments that daily soldiers are called to face deployed in Italy and abroad.
