This morning, at the Palazzo dell'Arsenale in Turin, home of the command for training and Application School of the Army in the presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, of the Minister of Defense, the Hon. After the commander's greeting address for the Army Training, Specialization and Doctrine, general of the army corps Carlo Lamanna, the president of the Egyptian Antiquities Museum Foundation, Dr. Evelina Christillin, held a Lectio Magistralis on the theme "Sustainability, rights and values ​​in sport and culture of the third millennium". Mr Guerini intervened stating: “We are living in a season characterized by multiple outbreaks of crisis, either present or potential. An important country like Italy is called to be a protagonist, within international fora and within the Alliances to which it is a part, to make its contribution to the stability of different parts of the world, first of all in the vast area where our national interests reside, namely the Mediterranean ".

You are not alone, also because you inherit a world of ethical and moral values ​​of absolute significance. The Italian Constitution, the principles of freedom and democracy, the protection of the human person and his human rights, the unreserved support to our citizens, represent a heritage that we have helped to build and that we defend every day, in Italy and internationally. . The Chief of Staff of the Army, before the official opening of the Academic / School Year 2022-2023 in connection with all the Military Institutes of the Army - the Application School of the Army of Turin, the Military Academy of Modena , the NCO School of the Army of Viterbo, the School of Foreign Languages ​​of the Army and the Military Schools "Nunziatella" and "Teulié", underlined: “In Turin there is our past and our future; in Turin and in the other Army Schools and Academies we become aware of our identity and prepare our Pupils and our Pupils to operate in the complex contemporary world, to work integrated with others and to spend themselves for others. The evocative tolls of the "Bell of Duty" sealed the solemn moment, recalling all visitors to the responsibility and commitment assumed towards the Institution and as a reason for respectful remembrance for all those who, in compliance with the oath and duty assumed, they sacrificed their lives for the good of Italy.

The training courses of the Army training institutes provide, in addition to the classic technical-military preparation, a rich and harmonious complex of disciplines at school and university level. Each year the courses are attended by 1300 officers, 500 non-commissioned officers, 700 junior officers and non-commissioned officers and 300 students of the military schools. They are joined by about 1400 course-goers, military personnel of all levels and civilian personnel, at the Army School of Foreign Languages, in 24 different foreign languages. The consolidated collaboration with the prestigious universities of Turin, Modena and Reggio Emilia, Viterbo and Perugia, together with the School Offices of the cities of Naples and Milan guarantees the high quality of the students' cultural education.
