The platoon of the Alpine Training Center prepares for the "White Fox" exercise

The "Volpe Bianca" exercise, which will take place in Alta Val di Susa (TO) next March (from 9 to 12), represents an important moment to verify the level of training achieved by the Army's mountain troops in the knowing how to operate in the difficult winter mountain environment and will see platoons of all the regiments of the Alpine Troops and numerous foreign military units compete with each other.

The specific training in the mountains - conducted without interruption throughout the year - and the very high preparation of the staff, characterize the departments of the Alpine Training Center able to operate effectively in any scenario and environmental situation.

The platoon of the Alpine Training Center, made up of a team from the 6th Alpini regiment and one from the training regiment, is training to better face the challenge with an intense preparation at altitude conducted first in Val Pusteria (BZ) and now in the Valley of Aosta.

During the competition, articulated continuously over several days, the Alpine departments fully equipped to survive and operate in an operational context will compete in movement tests on snow (with altitude difference), shooting, topography and avalanche rescue where, in addition to individual preparation , to be able to get compact at the finish line, the strength and cohesion of the group will be crucial.
