The Mak π 100 ceremony of the students of the 233rd course, who are preparing to finish their training within the walls of the "Rosso Maniero", took place today at the "Nunziatella" Military School.

With the symbolic "passing of the cue", they have handed down to the younger visitors the task and the burden of transmitting and enforcing the traditions that have always distinguished the history of the School.

The ceremony, presided over by the Army Chief of Staff, Army Corps General Pietro Serino, a former student of the 74/78 course, was attended by the military and civil authorities of the Campania Region and the metropolitan city of Naples.

During his address, General Serino stated: “the road to freedom, one of the values you swore to defend three years ago, is tortuous, long and difficult, but it is worth following it, without compromise, falling and getting up again.”

A significant moment of the ceremony was the delivery of the "drappella" by the godmother, Mrs. Antonella De Marco, to the 234th course, which, embroidered with the course number, will adorn the trumpet of the "guard of honor" and the drum set for the entire duration of the next academic year, up to the next Mak π 100.

During the ceremony, scholarships were awarded to particularly deserving students and ex-students who achieved the best academic results in the previous year.

The event will then continue in the setting of the Royal Palace in Piazza Plebiscito, with the "Ballo delle Debuttanti", a gala evening that marks the entry into society of girls aged between 17 and 19, which will see the participation of 33 couples formed by pupils and novices from the civilized world.

The event will end with the customary "Farewell Song" with which the students greet and pay homage to the "Rosso Maniero" and those who want to share the emotions of the day with them.
