General Graziano at the Alpine gathering

The army chief of staff, General Claudio Graziano, arrived in the early afternoon in Pordenone where the 87 ^ Alpine gathering is taking place.

General Graziano, after attending the celebration of the Holy Mass, ordained by the ordinary army, Monsignor Santo Marcianò, visited the stands set up in the "Citadel of the Alpine" inside the Galvani Park.

During the visit, the Army Chief of Staff met with the Paschal Corti Mountain Gunner, class 1922, a fighter in Russia with the Tridentina division during the Second World War that gave General Graziano a copy of his book on the country's campaign 1942-1943.

Inside the "citadel" the general also met the first marshal Luca Barisonzi, alpine wounded in Afghanistan in 2011.

Following General Graziano continued for the "Concordia" auditorium for a meeting with the mayor of Pordenone, Claudio Pedrotti and with the president of the alpine association, Sebastiano Favero.

Also present in the room is Signora Vita Maria Biasco, widow of Lieutenant Mauro Gigli, gold medal for military valor, who fell in Afghanistan in 2010.
