The tour of visits of the lt. has concluded. gen. Sir Ralph Woodsaid, commander of theAllied rapid reaction corps (COMARRC) of NATO, to the divisions Vittorio Veneto in Florence e Acqui in Capua.
The COMARRC received a presentation on the capabilities and tasks of large complex units from their respective commanders, General of Division Massimiliano Quarto and General of Division Maurizio Fronda, and carried out a visit to the new tactical command posts of the Army.
During the meetings, a video conference was also held with the United Kingdom to provide an update on the "Avenger Triad 24" exercise which sees the "Acqui" division training directly under the rapid reaction body of NATO.
To the lt. gen. Furthermore, Wood said, a point of situation was illustrated on the developments that are affecting the Vittorio Veneto division, relating to the process of establishing the multinational division – south headquarters and to the command role of the land component (land component command – LCC) of the Allied reaction force (allied reaction force – ARF).
