General Giovanni Fungo, commander of the land operational forces and operational command of the Army, visited the Simulation and Validation Center of the Army (Ce.Si.Va.).
Welcomed by the commander of the Ce.Si.Va., general of division Claudio Minghetti, General Fungo greeted the flag of the Institute and took part in a short office call.
The visit continued with an illustrative briefing on the tasks and responsibilities of the Ce.Si.Va. which was also attended by the Chief of Staff, Colonel Salvatore Daniele Patanè, and the heads of the various organized units of the Center.
During this meeting, the commander of the Ce.Si.Va. highlighted how the Simulation Center and Validation of the Army represents, within the Armed Forces, the main reference for the application of training simulation, in the preparation of command posts, staff and units intended for use in operations outside the national territory.
Furthermore, the important role of the Center in the experimentation of Integrated Systems for Terrestrial Training (SIAT), of simulation and command and control, and the function of experimenter of the digital platforms of the Army with which the operational capabilities of the systems are analyzed, verified and validated, by carrying out specific Operational Integration Sessions (SIO).
At the end of briefing, General Fungo visited the classrooms of the ITB (Integration Test Bed), the premises for the SIAT, the Constructive Center and then greeted the military and civilian personnel serving at the Ce.Si.Va.
