The Army Corps General Federico Bonato, commander of the Land Operational Forces and Army Operational Command, yesterday visited the Army Simulation and Validation Center (Ce.Si.Va.) which, since last April, has passed under the COMFOTER-COE.

After being welcomed upon his arrival by the commander of the Ce.Si.Va., the division general Claudio Minghetti and the non-commissioned officer of the Corps, 1st lieutenant Cesare Bucini, the high officer greeted the flag of the Institute and then participated in an illustrative briefing on the tasks and responsibilities of the Center.

During the meeting it was highlighted how the Army Simulation and Validation Center represents, in the context of the Armed Force, the main reference for the application of training simulation and "virtual training", in the preparation of command posts, staff and of units intended for use in operations outside the national territory.

In addition, the commander of the Ce.Si.Va. highlighted the important role of the Center in the testing of integrated terrestrial training (SIAT), simulation and command and control systems in the context of the wider Defense program called "Forza NEC" (Network Enabled Capability).

At the end of the briefing there was a visit to the infrastructures of the "Giorgi" barracks with particular attention to the classrooms of the ITB (Integration Test Bed) and to those used for the Command Post Exercise (CPX) and Computer Assisted Exercise (CAX) exercises.

The DSI visit therefore ended with the signing of the Roll of Honor at the office of the commander of the Ce.Si.Va ..
