This morning the Chief of Staff of the Army, General of the Army Corps Carmine Masiello, visited the “Celio” Military Hospital in Rome.

Welcomed at the “MO Attilio Friggeri” Barracks by the director, Major General Vincenzo Campagna, the Army Chief of Staff participated in a briefing in which the characteristics and activities of the Military Hospital, its mission, the organizational management model and the lines of action along which it is moving were illustrated.

During his visit, the Head of SME had the opportunity to visit the hospital infrastructure and meet its medical and support staff: "You take care of human capital, therefore you carry out a vital activity for the Army, which is proud and aware of your role and commitment. Continue to grow, to compare yourselves with efficient models, to train and to innovate. Thank you for the service rendered to the Army and to the Country. Let's work together to make our future better".

The Celio Military Hospital in Rome operates under the Army Logistics Command and represents the healthcare reference point for all the Armed Forces (national ROLE 4); it guarantees healthcare assistance to military personnel employed both at home and in operations abroad, as well as to all categories receiving the services provided by military healthcare, identified in the interministerial decree Defence-Health of 4 March 2015.
