Four intense weeks of outdoor activities, during which the visitors had to make use of all their physical and psychological abilities and draw on individual technical knowledge in order to achieve the coveted qualification of alpine explorer, or "alpiere".

After an initial selection that reduced the number of participants from 35 to 20, the training cycle focused on tests of overcoming vertical obstacles, forcing of water courses - a highly impeding element in the compartmented land at high altitude and passing through crevasses. The participants also spent the night in the open, in a trek at altitudes of around 2000 mt.

Activities and capacities that have always been the distinctive character of the exploring units of the Alpine brigades, an elite of specialists destined to facilitate and optimize the conduct of operations or, if necessary, to promptly supply structures specifically equipped for any needs attributable to a job “ dual ”of the same.
