The multinational exercise “Intrepid Knight”, an important training event involving approximately two hundred specialists in the sector, concluded at the headquarters of the 28th Operational Communications Regiment “Pavia”.
Alongside the men and women of the "Pavia", the eighth edition saw the participation of over 60 soldiers belonging to the Armed Forces of Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Holland, Poland, Great Britain and the United States.
The interest that "Intrepid Knight '24" has aroused among the experts, demonstrated by the high number of participating countries, their observers and evaluators, including Brigadier General Andrea Vicari, head of the III General Planning Department of the Army General Staff, who highlighted how training opportunities such as this are extremely valuable because they allow for the identification of any critical issues, being able to intervene effectively in strengthening valuable specialist assets such as those expressed by the 28th Operational Communications Regiment "Pavia", while at the same time raising the level of interoperability, the main factor for success in operations.
During the ten-day exercise, the operational communications specialists tested themselves in resolving specific activations in the physical and virtual environments, in diverse operational contexts and scenarios, from deterrence to warfighting.
These contexts required a perfect synchronization of the resources offered by the web and social media, with activities of specific operational connotation such as the dissemination of communication products from the NH-90 rotary-wing aircraft and the F2F (face to face) method.
Among the training objectives achieved, the one that was rewarding was that of testing the integration between the procedures and articulations of operational communications and those of other related capabilities and disciplines, such as Cyber, Electronic Warfare, CIMIC, Public Affairs and others included in the so-called "Information Related Capabilities".
“Intrepid Knight '24" represented the perfect combination of technological innovation and training, the development of which proceeds in sync with the multiple employment scenarios.
