In recent days, in the Courtyard of Honour of the Ducal Palace of Modena, in the presence of the commander of the Military Academy, Major General Davide Scalabrin, the military ceremony took place to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the entrance into the Institute of the 186th "Dignity" course.

Faithful to the motto, "UNA ACIES", the officers of the 186th course and the students of the 206th course have sealed, with the traditional twinning, the indissoluble bond that unites the generations of students.
In the presence of the Institute Flag, the formation paid homage to the fallen by placing a wreath at the Military Academy's lapidary, a moment of recollection that underlined the sense of belonging and the importance of historical memory. The traditional collective singing of the hymn "Una Acies", sung under the emotional gaze of the relatives and guests present, concluded a ceremony simple in form but very significant.

General Scalabrin, in addressing his greeting to the officers of the Army and the Carabinieri and the students, underlined the importance of the bond between the different courses, inviting the former to take care of their younger brothers in arms and urging the students to treasure the experiences and advice received.

The course leader of the 186th "Dignity" course urged the young students to accept the challenges they will find along their path and to face them without being afraid of changes: remembering that “deciding will be your most sacred duty!”.

The officers of the 186th "Dignity" course, with the rank of lieutenant colonel and major, today operate in the various departments and entities of the Italian Army and the Carabinieri, as well as in the top bodies of the respective Armed Forces and in multinational commands, in Italy and abroad.

Founded on January 1, 1678 as the Royal Academy, the Military Academy of Modena is today a university training institute that prepares future officers for the normal role of the Italian Army and the Carabinieri. The academic path allows for the achievement of degrees in disciplines such as Strategic Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Surgery, Veterinary Medicine, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, and Law, consolidating the professional and human preparation of the students.
