The engineers paratroopers at work in Treviso for the bad weather emergency

The Army, at the request of the Prefect of Treviso, is engaged by yesterday's 19 in the municipality of Mareno di Piave (TV) in support of the population hit by the strong wave of bad weather that hit the Veneto in recent days.

The soldiers of the 8th Parachute Engineers Regiment of Legnago (VR) worked non-stop all night using water pumps and special vehicles in order to free the flooded houses, garages and basements from the water. 

This morning the Army soldiers, on the recommendation of the authorities of Mareno, thanks to the use of generators of the Armed Force, supplied electricity to some houses that remained without electricity.
