The "Drago 1-2024" fire exercise conducted by the 185th "Folgore" parachute artillery regiment aimed at implementing the techniques, tactics and procedures typical of artillery ended in recent days at the Monteromano military range. paratroopers for indirect fire support to the "Folgore" brigade.
The exercise represents for the Yellow Devils of the 185th regiment an important training moment aimed at consolidating and perfecting the procedures, operational capabilities and synchronization of all the components that belong to the complex system of the parachute artillery, in the context of airborne operations.
The 185th "Folgore" parachute artillery regiment, reconstituted at the Bracciano headquarters on 1 July 2013, as a fire support unit of the "Folgore" parachute brigade, thus consolidates procedures, techniques and tactics while promoting the training of younger personnel.
Assets from the 52nd land artillery regiment, 3rd targeting support regiment "Bondone", 8th land artillery regiment "Pasubio" and a UH90 helicopter from the 7th AVES "Vega" regiment also participated in the exercise.
